🌳 Material & Craftsmanship
Each piece is built from solid pine, cut into several hundred blocks and set by hand in our workshop in Latvia. Every block is sanded and finished individually, then mounted at a slightly different depth so the surface catches light from every angle.
Nothing is machine-placed. That is why no two pieces are identical, and why the grain on yours will not match the one in the photograph.
The pine is kiln-dried before cutting, which is what keeps the blocks stable once they are on a wall. Each one is finished by hand with a clear matt oil, so the grain stays open to the touch rather than sitting under a film of lacquer.

Every piece arrives ready to hang. A mounting rail is already fitted to the back, and the fixings are in the box.
On plasterboard, use the wall plugs supplied. On brick or concrete, drill and plug as normal. At the larger sizes it is much easier with two people — one to hold, one to level.

Return shipping is at your cost unless the piece arrived damaged or was not what you ordered, in which case we cover it. Made-to-measure commissions are built to your dimensions and cannot be returned.

Sound that softens instead of bouncing
Several hundred blocks set at different depths scatter sound rather than reflecting it straight back at you. In rooms with bare walls and hard floors, that takes the hollow edge off conversation and music. It is the same physical principle behind studio diffusers — in a piece you would hang for how it looks.

A print gives you an image. This gives your wall a surface. Light moves across several hundred different angles through the day, so it never looks flat, and never looks quite the same twice.

Real pine, cut and finished by hand. Wood does something to a room that paint and paper do not — it takes the hardness out of the corners.
Character, because no two are identical
Every block is placed by hand in our Latvian workshop. The grain, the tone, the way light catches the edges — yours will not be the same as the one in the photograph.

Sizes from 30 cm square up to 244 cm wide. Large walls swallow small prints. This fills the space it is given, whatever that space is.
Questions people ask
The usual guide is to fill about two thirds of the width of whatever the piece hangs above — a sofa, a sideboard, a bed. Measure that furniture, take two thirds, and pick the closest size.
For a wall with nothing beneath it, go larger than feels safe. Pieces almost always look smaller on a wall than they do in a photograph. The size options above are drawn to scale against each other, and the room photographs further down show the pieces next to real furniture rather than on a blank wall.

Yes, a little, and that is normal for solid wood. Strong direct sunlight will lighten the pale blocks and deepen the darker ones over a few years, so the contrast softens rather than fades away.
If the wall gets hard afternoon sun for hours at a time, expect the change to happen faster. Away from direct sun it stays very close to how it arrives.
A kitchen is fine. Everyday cooking humidity is not a problem, though we would keep it off the wall directly behind a hob, where heat and grease both reach.
A bathroom with a shower is not a good idea. Repeated steam moves solid wood, and over time individual blocks can lift or cup at the edges. A cloakroom without a shower is fine.
The same reasoning applies to a conservatory that swings between hot and cold: the wood will be happier on an interior wall.
